Vacuum creation day
Every year on February 4, the world celebrates an interesting event – Vacuum creation day. Vacuum in translation from the Latin language means “empty”. That is, a vacuum is an ideal space in which there is no matter. However, the physical vacuum is an idealized abstraction, because it is experimentally impossible to achieve. There is also a partial vacuum (technical), which is actively created and used by humanity.
I started researching for the first time vacuum physicist Evangelista Torricelli in the 17th century. Its discovery made it possible to create a vacuum pump, thanks to which it became very easy to pump out air from sealed containers. The vacuum pump was invented by Otto von Goericke in 1654.
