Day of Saint John Chrysostom

Every year on November 26, the Orthodox Church celebrates the Day of Remembrance of Saint John Chrysostom.

Ivan Zolotousty is a holy preacher, healer of souls, teacher, intercessor of all the offended. It is known that the Saint was one of the founders of the Patriarchate of Constantinople. Ivan Zolotousty is an extremely multifaceted personality: he is a lawyer, an orator, and a religious polemicist. Currently, the Saint is included in the list of three Fathers of the Orthodox Church.

Saint John Chrysostom had a difficult fate: exile and isolation from people due to accusations of witchcraft. However, Ivan’s life path only confirmed his indomitability and patience.
