Memorial Day of Reverend Konstantin Kosynskyi
Every year on August 11, Orthodox people of the whole world Kostyantyn Kosynskyi is honoredwhich was glorified by the venerable saint.
At the end of the 12th century, Konstantin moved from the Khutyn monastery to a lonely place located between rivers near the city of Stara Rusa. There he founded the Kosyn Monastery, which functions to this day. Constantine was canonized for his significant contribution to Orthodoxy and monasticism.
Konstantin Kosynskyi died at the end of July 1240. Before his death, the monk handed over the rank of abbot to Kosma Kosynskyi, but he renounced the spiritual title and continued to lead the ordinary and unremarkable life of a monastery monk. Later, Cosmas was also canonized as a saint. The relics of St. Constantine are kept in the Kosyn Monastery.
