Stapler’s birthday
Annually on March 5 A stapler celebrates a birthdaybecause it was on this day in 1868 that the English inventor George McGill patented the famous office device.
The first mechanisms for binding paper were made back in the 18th century for the king of France, but the name “stapler” appeared as early as 1909. A stapler that works without staples was invented by Christian Berger in 1997.
Now staplers are not only stationery, but also construction and furniture. The stapler is a part of the office interior, so its appearance is also important – manufacturers offer both classic discreet options and bright and cheerful ones.
