World Hemophilia Day

April 17 is celebrated every year World Hemophilia Day. The event was initiated by the World Federation of Hemophilia together with the World Health Organization.

What is hemophilia?

This is an incurable hereditary disease, which is a violation of blood coagulation. The reason is a change in one gene in the X chromosome. To maintain a normal state, hemophiliacs are given donor blood. Patients with this disease are under special medical supervision.

Hemophilia Day aims to draw people’s attention to the problems of patients, increase awareness of this disease.
