World Card Making Day
On the first Saturday of October, Card Making Day is celebrated all over the world. This world day has been held since 2006 on the initiative of the Paper Craft publication. At first, the magazine introduced this idea only to its subscribers, but the number of people who responded was much larger. Therefore, the holiday became international.
The day is dedicated to making handmade postcards. A postcard purchased in a store will not bring as many pleasant feelings as one that is individually and lovingly made with your own hands. The holiday reminds us that the best gifts come from the heart. With the advancement of technology and the Internet, many have stopped buying or making and giving postcards altogether. Instead, we send emails, greeting pictures, gifs, and more. Although this phenomenon is natural, no one will argue that it is much more pleasant to receive a postcard made by oneself. We recommend that you also read our article POSTCARD – the business card of time, which talks, in particular, about how to increase the value of a postcard.
Celebrate this holiday together with your friends and family: make cards together, exchange your ideas and products.
