Fedosius day

The Orthodox Church honors the memory of a saint named Theodosius on January 24 every year – Fedosius day. Theodosius of Antioch was a monk and, despite the wealth of his parents, chose a hermit and humble life. Having settled in the desert, Theodosius had many guests – believers who wanted to listen to his sermons. The monk was engaged in farming and for tens of years turned to God with prayer.

Later, when there were too many companions, and there was no place to receive believers, Feodosius founded a monastery on the site of his hut, where, according to people, real miracles happened. There is a legend that the saint created the flow of a spring in a dry rock, where he struck with his staff. Theodosius was imprisoned when he expressed a negative opinion about the church, but was released and lived to the age of 105 in seclusion and prayer. IN Fedosius day they judge the time of spring.
