Farmer’s Day
On June 19 every year, Ukraine celebrates a very young professional holiday – Farmer’s Day. The event was initiated by Volodymyr Zelenskyi on June 18, 2020. The date of the celebration was chosen in honor of the date of adoption of the Farm Bill, which happened on this day in 2003.
Purpose of Farmer’s Day
Farmers engage in agriculture (produce, process and sell products) on rented or owned land, either by themselves or with the help of hired workers.
purpose Farmer’s Day is drawing the attention of Ukrainian society to the importance of farming for the prosperity of agriculture, and therefore for the food security of Ukraine; thanks to farmers for their hard work for the good of the state; development of farming.
