Every year on December 19, Ukraine celebrates a professional national holiday – Advocacy Day, which, however, remains a working day. The event was started relatively recently – on December 2, 2002, the initiator of the establishment of this holiday was Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma. The day of celebration was chosen in honor of the date of entry into force of the Law “On Advocacy” in 1992.

Advocacy Day calls on society to thank lawyers for their work, to pay attention to the importance of this profession, because the workers of the advocacy help to preserve the personal rights of citizens and play a significant role in the development of the state.
