A day without a beard

An unofficial holiday – Day without a Beard – is celebrated every year on October 18. It is this measure that convinces men to get a razor and make their face as smooth as a baby’s. Despite the fact that recently men’s beards are among the fashion trends and men grow vegetation on their faces to add masculinity and brutality to their appearance, smooth skin still has its admirers.

The time and purpose of the establishment of this event are unknown, as well as its creator. But it is held on the eve of another initiative, No Shave November – a month without shaving, which is dedicated to the fight against male cancers (prostate or testicular cancer). So, even if someone isn’t a fan of shaving every day, October 18 is a good opportunity to shave and prepare for a no-shave November.

The best way to celebrate Beardless Day is to simply shave, dare to radically change your look if you’ve been bearded for a long time, or involve bearded friends in this initiative. Don’t forget to take memorable photos and tag them on social media with the hashtag #NationalNoBeardDay.
