Underwear day in history

The holiday was born in America on the initiative of the Freshpair company, which sells this very underwear. In 2013, this company organized an interesting marathon in New York with the aim of breaking the Guinness world record. The feature of the record is that it regulates the largest number of people gathered together in one place in underwear. More than 800 people gathered in Times Square that year, but this was not enough to set a new record. The event did not take place, but a new holiday appeared.

Not everyone knows that the first underwear was intended to protect the main clothes from sweat stains. This applies not only to briefs – we are talking about bustiers, corsets, boxers, sports tops and even some models of swimwear.

Purpose of the event

The main goal of Underwear Day is to highlight the beauty of the human body, help many to accept themselves, and promote “body image” in society as a completely natural phenomenon. Initially, all actions and initiatives were aimed at women, but men willingly supported this concept.
