International Day of Support for Victims of Crime

Every year, the whole planet celebrates February 22 International Day of Support for Victims of Crime. The basis for establishing this day is two international documents: the UN declaration on the principles of justice for victims of criminal crime (September 1985) and the “Charter for Victims of Crime”, which was published in Great Britain in 1990, namely on February 22.

International Day of Support for Victims of Crime aims to attract the attention of society and the authorities to the problem of protection of victims, assistance in social rehabilitation, moral and monetary compensation, necessary psychological and physical support.

There are hundreds of different crime victim support programs around the world that anyone can participate in.
