International Day Against Fascism, Racism and Anti-Semitism

Every year on November 9, the world celebrates the International Day of Struggle against Fascism, Racism and Anti-Semitism, which was started in memory of the first attack on Jews by the German Nazis. The mass action of violence took place on November 9, 1938 and was called “Kristallna Night”, from this event the active destruction of the Jewish people (Holocaust) began.

In 1995, the anti-racism network “UNITED” took over the organization of this day, somewhat dividing the campaign into two parts: the first has a historical orientation and concerns the memory of the victims of Nazism and fascism, the second part is aimed at contemporary problems (racism, neo-fascism, anti-Semitism and right-wing extremism).
