European Day of Personal Data Protection falls on January 28. The tradition of its celebration appeared in 2006. The basis for fixing the date of celebration on this day at the official level was the signing of the convention of the relevant content in 1981. Over the years, the document has not lost its relevance. On the contrary, in the period of total computerization, the observance of confidentiality became especially important.

Privacy Day celebrated in more than 80 countries around the world. Various events are traditionally held on this day, including seminars, round tables and conferences dedicated to the basics of personal data protection.

Discussions and seminars on the topic of cyber security are held in schools, institutes and universities. Organizers of meetings teach participants about the rules of safe behavior on the Internet.
