Entrepreneur’s Day of Ukraine

What day is it?

Since 1999, it has been celebrated in Ukraine on the first Sunday of September Entrepreneur’s Day. The decision to celebrate this date was made in October 1998 by President Leonid Kuchma. With this order, he recognized the significant influence of all forms of entrepreneurship on the development of the national economy.

How is the Day of the Entrepreneur of Ukraine celebrated?

Traditionally, on the occasion of the celebration of this day, exhibitions of products of domestic manufacturers and forums are held in major cities of Ukraine, where well-known entrepreneurs speak. Ceremonial events are also held in city halls and other government bodies with the aim of awarding awards to entrepreneurs who have contributed to the welfare of the country. Emphasis is placed on the fact that entrepreneurs are reliable taxpayers who form the state budget. Also, thanks to these people, jobs are created, buildings are built and new centers are opened.
