Every year on the second Sunday of October, artists of Ukraine celebrate Artist’s Day. The holiday was approved by Presidential Decree in 1998. The initiator of the celebration was the Union of Artists of Ukraine. The goal is to support the representatives of art and remind about its role in the cultural development of a person.

Artist – a creative specialist working in various fields of fine art. It can be not only painting, but also photography, sculpture, graphics, street art, cinema, decorative and applied art, etc.

Experts are sure that it is impossible to raise a fully developed personality without contemplating artistic creativity. Therefore, the artist’s direct duty is to convey his vision of beauty, to faithfully reproduce historical events, to develop a sense of beauty in people, and to encourage them to think about the essence of existence.
