International Energy Saving Day

Every year on November 11, an important holiday is celebrated — the International Day of Energy Conservation. The idea of ​​establishing such a day was proposed by the SPARE international environmental network in April 2008 at an international meeting in Kazakhstan, and the first celebration took place in November 2008. 20 countries wanted to become participants in the Day of Energy Saving, so the day received an international status.

Saving electricity has a positive effect on the environment and allows you to reduce monetary losses. Unfortunately, electricity is not used very efficiently in Ukraine, so on November 11 it is important to draw people’s attention to the rational use of resources and the mandatory development of energy sources. On the International Day of Energy Saving, school themed events, exhibitions, promotions and conferences are held.
