September 5 is celebrated in the USA National Cheese Pizza Day. Despite the fact that this dish first appeared in Italy, it firmly took its place in the hearts and stomachs of Americans. It is prepared at home, in specialized catering establishments and even in some restaurants. Frozen ready-made pizza can also be purchased at any supermarket.

The filling of the first classic pizza consisted of three components: tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and basil. Initially, it was considered as food for poor people who cannot afford meat dishes. That was until pizza came to the American continent. In 1905, the first pizzeria opened in New York, which immediately gained great popularity.
