Every year on April 1, the world celebrates a rather unusual, but interesting modern event – Edible book day (or International festival of edible books). The holiday was started by Beatrice Coron and Judith Hoffberg in 2000.

To Edible Book Festival all fans of literature gather together, organize various competitions on edible books, thanks to which you can both enjoy the incredible appearance of the dish and taste it. There are also special “book dishes” nominations, according to which cooks are awarded.
